We take particular care to ensure that audio can always be heard - using processing techniques that depend on how loud something sounds rather than just the peak level. We have mpeg audio encoding for file-server based systems as well as inhouse duplication for CDi and Cassette based audio systems.
Digital Encoding for AVOD and mainscreen IFE
Skyline's digital encoding laboratory can deliver files for all digital audio and video systems currently flying, including the H.265 HEVC codec now employed on the latest IFE hardware.
Formats handled include Mpeg1, Mpeg2, Mpeg4, H264/AVC and H265 HEVC for video and Mpeg 2,3,4, aac and ac3 for audio.
Metadata for IFE
We create and manage metadata (data about data) to ensure error free information is delivered to your passengers' IFE screens, with rigrous QC and usage rights cleared where necessary.
